Regarding data privacy, the Capitol app utilizes Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver essential notifications. To ensure secure transactions, it employs Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) through in-app alerts. An anonymous Firebase Installation ID (FID) is generated and sent to Google, enabling user identification for SCA-related messages. This ID is securely stored on the device’s keychain and is deleted upon app uninstallation. In addition to mandatory notifications, the FID may be used for optional alerts at the user's request.
